Due to the pet's similarity to the Suspicious Looking Eye light pet, dyeing it with Teal Dye will make it look almost identical. After equipping the Suspicious Looking Tentacle, however, the Suspicious Eye pet will be pushed to the other side of the player and Suspicious Looking Eye light pet will hover in front instead. While the Suspicious Grinning Eye is equipped, the Suspicious Eye pet will always be in front of the player if they are standing still. The tooltip is a reference to the Suspicious Looking Tentacle item (or Suspicious Looking Eye light pet) and how the name of the pet, Suspicious Eye, is seemingly missing the word looking. It normally shows a blue iris and pupil, but when moving faster than 31 mph the pupil slides up and reveals a mouth, similar to the Eye of Cthulhu's second form. It summons a Suspicious Eye pet which resembles the Eye of Cthulhu. Out of these, it is the only one not associated with guns, and it is also the only one that can be obtained pre-Hardmode.The Suspicious Grinning Eye is a Master Mode-exclusive drop from the Eye of Cthulhu, with a 1/4 (25%) chance to drop. Binoculars are one of the five items that change the camera's position, the other four being the Recon Scope, the Sniper Scope, the Rifle Scope, and Sniper Rifle.Binoculars are very helpful in locating rare enemies detected by the Lifeform Analyzer or its upgrades.Binoculars can be used while the game is paused. If the player uses a Magic Missile, Flamelash or Rainbow Rod and then quickly switches to the binoculars while still holding down ⚒ Use / Attack, the player will still be able to control the projectile but will also be able to move the camera around, greatly increasing the range of the projectile. However, the C-stick can be used to change the camera's position, making these items obsolete on the New Nintendo 3DS systems.Note that the same used to apply for the Mobile version as well, but it is now functional since the 1.3 update. This means that the only items that can change the camera's position are the Sniper Rifle and Sniper Scope. On the Nintendo 3DS version, the Binoculars, as well as the Rifle Scope, are obtainable, but they are not functional. If the player stops holding the Binoculars, they can sometimes see enemies despawn while the camera moves back to the player. This effect does not occur when the item is in the inventory without being held and hovering over inventory slots while holding it will cancel this effect, much like Magic Missile-type weapons. The Lunatic Cultist Mask is arguably the most tedious to obtain, not because it is hard to. Masks provide no armor but if they are put in the head armor slot they seem to keep armor set bonuses. Each boss has a 14.291/7 (14.29) chance to drop its own mask. In other words, enemies will spawn further away from the player while holding the Binoculars. Masks are vanity items dropped by all non-event bosses, except those from the Old One's Army. Holding the Binoculars will affect NPC spawning, increasing spawn range and the safe range.Shifting the view will also shift and update the minimap. The same effect occurs for area-of-effect buffs like Campfires or Heart Lanterns, which will take effect if the player shifts the screen view close enough to them, as well as the Metal Detector. Viewing an adjacent biome can cause the music and background view to change to those of the adjacent biome. The Binoculars operate similarly to the Recon Scope, Rifle Scope, Sniper Rifle and Sniper Scope, but without the need to press the ⚷ Interact button with a gun being held.
